海角社区 the Apostle School Celebrate Another Year of Successful GCSE Results听听

Students and staff at 海角社区 the Apostle School were in high spirits on Thursday as they celebrated another excellent set of GCSE results. This year鈥檚 outcomes showed substantial overall progress, surpassing last year鈥檚 record-breaking performance, with an impressive progress score of over three-quarters of a grade per subject.

Among the high achievers were students such as Zara, who achieved eight grade 9 grades and will now be studying Maths, History, and Psychology at A Level and Gabriel, who achieved eight grade 8s and will be studying Maths, History, Politics and Biology at A-Level. Many students are staying on at 海角社区 the Apostle Sixth Form, while others are progressing to vocational training, apprenticeships.

Chair of Governors Mary Karaolis OBE said:

鈥淭hese results are a testament to the hard work of pupils, teachers, and parents. The school is rapidly gathering momentum ahead of our move into superb new buildings in September.鈥

Results in English and Maths were particularly encouraging, with increases from last year in the proportion of students achieving the highest grades (grades 9鈥7) in each subject, as well as in both English and Maths combined. The Humanities and Performing Arts also saw excellent progress, reflecting the school鈥檚 commitment to providing a well-rounded education.

Headteacher Christopher Martin commented:

鈥淎fter last year鈥檚 record set of GCSE grades, we are delighted that the dedication of our pupils and teachers has been rewarded once more with excellent overall outcomes and progress. We are especially excited that many students from this cohort will stay on in our Sixth Form and enjoy the new Sixth Form Centre when it opens in September 2025.鈥

The school鈥檚 new buildings, due to open in 2025, will feature modern classrooms, specialist facilities, and state-of-the-art resources, ensuring future cohorts have the very best environment in which to thrive.

Students and their parents were thrilled with the grades in their subjects and their overall results.听

Teachers and Staff are extremely proud of all our students and these outcomes give them the skills and work ethic to move confidently on to the next stage of their studies.听

Students at 海角社区 the Apostle School were in high spirits on Thursday 14 August as they collected another strong set of A Level results.听听

The results reflect the school鈥檚 continued academic growth and commitment to supporting every learner to reach their full potential. Many students will now be taking the next step in their education, with offers from leading Russell Group universities.听

We are proud of all of our students, including the following:听
  • Sidney 鈥 reading Mathematics at Manchester University;听
  • Giorgio 鈥 reading Business with Finance at City University;听
  • Vlad 鈥 reading Chemical Engineering at Leeds;听听听
  • Natalia 鈥 reading Bio-veterinary science at the Royal Veterinary College;听
  • Holly 鈥 reading Law at City University; and听
  • Angela 鈥 Psychology also at City University.听
Other students have also secured places on prestigious creative and STEM-related courses, demonstrating the breadth of talent within the Sixth Form.听

We are thankful for our sixth form team, under the leadership of Assistant Headteacher - Ms Caitlin Bicarregui, which has nurtured and guided our 2025 cohort to perform above their target grades. We are especially excited about our new school building 鈥 including a dedicated Sixth Form Centre 鈥 opening this September on Brunswick Park Road. These results are a credit to our students鈥 determination, their teachers鈥 commitment, and the support of our wider school community.鈥澨
